Yoga teaches us to cure what need not be endured and endure what cannot be cured

I still remember my first yoga class in Venice CA circa 1989. It was in a small dark studio (living room) with carpet. I have much gratitude for that first teacher and all subsequent teachers whose love of the practice has been an inspiration to me and the whole yoga community. Shortly thereafter, I spent a year on the subcontinent studying Iyengar. Subsequently, I have trained in Anusara (working toward certification), Forrest, Vinyasa, and Bikram (it must have been the fondness of that first carpeted class). Interspersed with these trainings was a two-year stint at the Barbara Brennan School of Healing. In addition, I am currently involved in programs at A Society of Souls and The Center for Intentional Living. My intention is to share the experience that these practices have brought to my life, through classes that are intelligent, thought provoking, filled with subtle nuance, gobs of alignment, lots of sweat, and a reminder to ourselves of the wisdom that resides within... (and on a good day, a little humor).
What to expect in my class:
Each class has its own eclectic flavor often times focusing on a single element of the practice. Expect to work hard the first hour and then take time to evaluate a pose or two for the remaining time. Discovery happens when we are willing to slow down to see what is here. This class will ask you to explore the relationship between what is here, what lies over the horizon, and what is their relationship.
